Description:
Solvent Blue 35 is an oil-soluble anthraquinone dye known for its vibrant deep blue color, excellent lightfastness, and thermal stability. It is widely used in industrial applications where high color strength and solvent compatibility are essential. The dye produces a clear, bright blue shade in non-polar media and is particularly valued in plastics, fuels, waxes, and inks.

Applications:

Industrial & Chemical Use

• Plastics Coloring: Used in polystyrene, PMMA, polycarbonate, and other transparent polymers for high-gloss blue shades

• Petroleum Industry: Colors lubricants, oils, greases, and fuels (diesel/gasoline marking)

• Waxes & Candles: Dissolves well in paraffin and stearin, used to dye candles or labeling wax

• Printing Inks & Coatings: Solvent-based systems including gravure and flexographic inks

• Cosmetic & Personal Care: Limited use in non-water-based formulations (must comply with local regulations)

Pyrotechnics (rare/special use):

• Best chemical for blue smoke compositions
