Description:
Kaolin, also known as china clay or caolin, is a naturally occurring clay mineral primarily composed of kaolinite, a hydrated aluminum silicate. It is soft, chemically inert, and has excellent whiteness and plasticity, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and commercial uses.

Applications:
Industrial Uses

• Ceramics & Porcelain: Widely used in the production of tiles, sanitaryware, and high-end porcelain due to its plasticity and firing properties.

• Paper Industry: Used as a coating and filler to improve smoothness, brightness, and printability.

• Paints & Coatings: Acts as a functional extender to improve durability, gloss control, and pigment dispersion.

• Rubber & Plastics: Enhances mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability.

• Construction Materials: Added to cement, mortar, and other building products for workability and rheology control.

Pyrotechnics & Fireworks

• Used as a non-combustible binder and filler in stars, comets, and lance compositions.

• Serves as a refractory component in some fountain and spark compositions.

• Enhances mechanical strength without adding fuel or reactive load.

Cosmetics & Pharmaceuticals

• Used in facial masks, powders, and ointments for its absorbent, soothing, and mattifying properties.
